Return of Toonami in U.S. is possible #BringBackToonami
Posted by DBZimran - @ 03 Apr 2012
Last Saturday, Adult Swim celebrated April Fools by bringing back Toonami for one night. The hoax went as far as bringing back Steve Blum to voice Tom. Tom even reviewed Mass Effect 3. This is a great opportunity for a return of Toonami to America. It is a start to show that there is still a demand for it.
Adult Swim have seen the reaction from the 'Toonami one night stand'. They have tweeted: "Want it back? Let us know. #BringBackToonami" So if you want Toonami back tweet #BringBackToonami Click HERE for [Adult Swim] twitter
Dragon Ball Z UK DVD Release Confirmed!
Posted by DBZimran - @ 16 Mar 2012
Previously unconfirmed news of a UK Dragon Ball Z UK DVD release have been confirmed by Toei Animation:
"Manga Entertainment has acquired the licensing rights to release, for the 1st time, the Dragon Ball Z series in DVD (291 episodes of 26') in the United Kingdom. The new licensee is planning to release the 1st of the 9 boxes this summer and to support the launch with a complete cross-media promotion campaign"
Since it will be released in "9 boxes" we can say that we will get a 'Orange Brick' Remastered release of the series.
Thanks to xXInfinite026Xx over on Daizenshuu EX we have a new bit of information regarding Ocean Productions dub of Dragon Ball Z Kai.
46 seconds into that YouTube video Scott McNeil talks about dubbing Dragon Ball Z Kai for Canada, stating he's recorded lines for the Freeza Saga. He didn't say much except for a few characters he will be voicing.
Again, this isn't much information. But I think we can now assume that Ocean or maybe another dubbing company are going to be releasing a dub of Dragon Ball Z Kai in Canada and possibly other countries including the UK.
Hopefully we'll have a bit more information soon.
